
Nielsen, one of the leading survey company presents interesting data about the smartphone market. It deals with the acquisition of smart phone vendor markets the world of Google, RIM and Apple since the second quarter 2009 to 2nd quarter 2010.
As quoted from engadget pulse, the Nielsen survey noted that RIM has managed to achieve sales of 33%, followed by Google with 27%, and Apple is reaching 23% of the market share of smartphone sales to new customers.
Indeed, from these data, the BlackBerry in general still achieve the highest market share. However, when viewed from the side of users' loyalty to the brands they use, the BlackBerry was in decline than those rivals.
Based on the Nielsen survey, the data showed that as many as 29% of BlackBerry owners will switch to the iPhone, and some 21% would migrate to Android. And, only 42% who remain loyal BlackBerry owners with this Canadian product.
It is inversely proportional to the two competitors: Google and Apple. Noted as much as 89% owner of the iPhone plans 'upgrade' to another iPhone. So it is with Google through Androidnya, which counted some 71% still planned to get an Android phone selajutnya version. And, in fact only around 2% to 3% of the iPhone and Android owners who want to switch to BlackBerry.
Looking at these data, if later on BlackBerry OS 6.0 will be RIM's solution for this problem, we'll wait.
